Vesuvius India Limited being socially responsible – our primary Corporate Social Responsibility program under WASH ( Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) was that of imparting hygiene education to 5400+ school children from 2022 thus focusing on Women empowerment. I am glad to inform you that Vesuvius India Limited was able to reduce the absenteeism by 38% in 11 schools from intervention in 2022-2023 in Kolkata and Vizag.
An inauguration program was held on 23rd March 2023 in Govt, High School -Khalari, Angul in Odisha, where we inaugurated Bio toilets given in the school to promote better hygiene for girls. The inauguration program was a success where eminent people from Vesuvius and JSP, Angul were present as well as Krishna Mohanty Mam ,Bharati Pradhan & Respected others guests Were present. The program was ended with a training program to girls. We also distributed Hygiene Kits to the girl students as a part of the training program conducted by VSF.
